About

Doncaster Road Junior School is a co-educational community junior school which serves children from a fairly wide catchment area.  It caters for boys and girls between the ages of 7 and 11.  At present there are 106 children in the school.

The school was first opened just over a century ago.  In spite of its age it remains in a much better condition than many more modern schools.

There are 7 teaching areas in school, and a school library. Five teaching areas are used as class bases.  The other 2 areas are used as a shared teaching space and a study.  There is a large hall, with a large stage, which also serves, as a dining hall at lunch times. At the side of the school is the playground, and to the rear a field which is used during the summer months.
